And what a passage it is! The collective journey lately has been, in a word, intense. For most of us, there’s been a lot to sort out. As someone very sensitive to energy and my environment, it has had me in hermit mode for some time. The energy I might use to “put myself out there” is instead directed internally; “digesting” past trauma (mine and others), transmuting darkness to the light of truth, and connecting more wholly with life’s sweetness.
I’m reminded of how the pressure on coal transforms it into a diamond. The past couple of years has been a refinement, as the mettle of everyone is being tested. The habit of taking a macro view and looking for the lessons and “silver lining” has served me well.
It wasn’t always like that. I remember being wildly swayed emotionally over news stories and the latest “buzz” at the office. I’m saddened to think of the precious life wasted reacting and getting sucked in, but grateful to see how it lost its hold and growth continues.
I now take in what I need to know to make informed decisions, but am selective and protect myself from bombardment as much as possible. As we are all connected parts of the same whole, I know that as I grow and heal, the benefit goes beyond myself. And while so much darkness is surfacing all around, I’m greatly encouraged to see how many are leveling up and going within to realize their best selves and add more light and health for us all.
